MDS will support the AMD Awareness Week by hosting these
sessions at the Alexandra Hospital, Idea Lab. 1. "Patient support groups - What are they and how do they help?" Saturday, 20 Sep, 11am - 12pm (English) 12pm - 1pm (Mandarin).  Experience the dynamics of small, intimate groups in solving specific needs such as AMD.

"Living with Low Vision: Use It, or Lose It!" Wednesday, 24 Sep, 12pm - 1pm Location: Alexandra Hospital, Idea Lab. Free Goodies will be given away to first 20 registrants to this session only! <inserted 15 Sep 2008>
If there is enough interests we can form a dedicated AMD Patient Support Group to cater for the AMD patients ... perhaps around 20 patients as a pilot project. Experience the dynamics of small, intimate groups in solving specific needs such as AMD. A good time to start the AMD Support Group as what can be a more appropriate time then to start one during this AMD Awareness Week. <inserted 15 Sep 2008>
